Redbridge Community Award winner

We’re delighted to have won the community/neighbourhood champion award for organisations at this year’s Redbridge Mayor’s Community Award ceremony.

The annual accolade is given each year to members of the community whom the judges consider have helped make the Borough a great place to live and work. The panel, consisting of local councillors and community leaders, request nominations from residents on whom they feel has offered skills and/or given up their time to help others in the area.

We were nominated for our free fitness sessions for girls as well as our out of school multi-sport holiday clubs. The judges were especially complimentary about the fact that many of the attending young people had gone on to University and become sports coaches themselves.

The ceremony, held at Redbridge Town Hall was hosted by the Borough’s very own ITV Gladiator champion, Weininger Irwin and attended by both civic dignitaries and members of the local community
