Steve Walsh - football legend

Steve Walsh is a Leicester City football legend who has an underlying passion for the sport. Always regarded as an enthusiastic and driven footballer and team leader, Steve was a valuable asset to his football club with skills acquired over 20 years. Nicknamed as ‘Captain Fantastic’, the tall footballer is a popular figure in the Midlands and has competed and won prestigious football honours in his career.

Steve’s main contribution came in Leicester City’s League Cup final triumphant win over Middlesborough in 1997 where he played pivotal role in the win.

The legendary footballer also was one of the chief architects of Leicester City’s successful Championship campaign in 1996 where the team won Premier League promotion. Apart from Leicester City, Steve has also represented football clubs like Wigan Athletic, Norwich City and Coventry City. Steve Walsh also holds the honour of playing in the UEFA Cup during his career.
